Jens is a super rider and had a bad crash today. See the video below.
It almost looks like something happened to his wheel. You see his rear wheel come off the ground then he looks ok. The wheel tracks correctly for a couple of seconds. Then the wheel suddenly shifts to the right. Maybe the white line, but its dry... hard to tell.
I wish him the best... speedy recovery. The Peloton won't be the same without you.
Clearly, the left handleblar broke. All the balance went to right side of bike and than the crash. Very nasty, not good at all.

ReplyDeleteIt does look like his left hand comes off the bar. Nice catch. So quickly your fortunes can change. Things happen so fast at those speeds!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like he was changing his hands from hoods to the drops and failed to grab the left one, maybe because of a bump on the road. I was really scared, he is such a lovely guy on the peloton.
